• We purchased an inventory management and ordering system, Smart Choice. The system will track inventory on the back-end, and allow for online ordering on the front end. It will also support in-person shopping with check-out.
• This also promotes our health and wellness initiative by educating nutritious choices across categories.
• The system will also have ‘points’ that will be assigned to individuals by-weekly. This will simulate $ and hopefully encourage budget-type shopping versus open selection of all items. As we increase customers and have to purchase foods, the ‘points’ will allow some control of inventory.
• The online ordering will be perfect for our delivery program (reduce waste from pre-packaged items) and our new locker program.
